i love my ants in PB its the best way i give it a 3-4 needs a little more going on... i just submited a design to critique and if anybody wants to judge it and suggest changes feel free (its name is Mr. S's 1st job ( 1st rendering) or something like that)

sorry, but it's too simplistic for a shirt design. You're going to have to work on your art to make this idea work. Plus, it looks a bit strange with them just floating there.

Drawing crap with a mouse is hard work, but I have to say I like relativley simple shirts, I'm not one of those guys who wants a collage plastered across my body.

i love the ants. but one thing i'd like added would be perhaps a wave of whatever they are riding on (water?) splashing up at the front of the celery canoe. i think it needs a bit more environment or grounding. other than that, this is really cute, and a nice kid's shirt. the ant in the back is especially adorable.

Clever but it looks like you have a leftover color and I think it would be improved if the ants and peanut butter didn't blend quite so much personally.

Why does that make him an asshole?

As I've said before in previous things on threadless, these scores are all subjective. He's an asshole for telling me and the collective group of people who voted for me have an opinion of art of a lesser variety then his own. Just because he didn't like my design doesn't mean every person of the x number of people who voted thought the same way, and obviously not because they outweighed his negativity. :)

I'm not a designer or anything like that, I'm a starving pre law student haha. I just have always liked drawing so I do this for fun, I don't have a lot of money to throw around when tuition and books is 35,000 a year haha.

It's sad that something like this with no substance that was drawn in almost no time with incredibly basic art would score lower than her design. That's all.

Also, you can talk all you want about your design being "simple", but there's a difference between things that are simple and bad things that are a simple and effective because they are aesthetically pleasing. This is not in the category of aesthetically pleasing.

according to you, once again art is subjective. Also there is more to a design than aesthetics but I guess you overlooked that, and you are most welcome, I was pleased to call you an asshole.
