No, I think freshview is right. Sure, if you hit a plank of wood in the middle it would break the way you drew it, but that's only if you apply a strong force in the middle of a board (obviously). If you hit a tree with a car, you're not hitting only the middle of a branch, you're applying a great deal of force all over the branch. As such, the branch would actually break the opposite direction in which you drew it, and actually, probably be lying on the ground.



I don't know if you meant your hypothetical to be rude towards freshview, but that's how I took it. And if so, you should really be nicer to people trying to give you suggestions.
