For those who love to read....
I'm a fan of reading clothed. I think it's a cool idea, but the nudity isn't necessary. Not that I have problem with nudity...
I like this design. The conservitave part of me wants her to be clothed...but the liberal side of me doesn't really care...either way it is a 4 for me.
? why is she naked? if you made a new version of her with a dress or shirt and jeans or something, i would soo buy it :)
Maybe she was so engrossed in the books she forgot to put her clothes on.
I like the colours on the natural t in the corner. 5 |
I am puzzled by the nudity, but it is a library of dreams. I especially love the way her hair fades onto the edge. $5

man, i've read naked before and maybe i stand alone but i think with how busy the books look that the clothing, with all the details and folds, that she might not stand out as much from the books.
I agree with what most people are saying- she needs some clothes. Even just shorts. Oh and I think socks would be cute but I'm just a sock person.
still, 5. |

Hi, here is the link that acually does the detail some justice,

Not massively fussed about the nudity - it's not sexual or anything. She's just naked.
In fact, given that it's the Library of Dreams, it seems appropriate. |
I've been waiting for a good library design (I'm a librarian) so I love everything but the nekkedness.. if she/he/soul person looked happier, I'd like that too.. I love the sketchyness of it :)
I personally think that I prefer her nude. Apparently none of you have ever read naked before, quite the shame.
The impression I get from this is simply:
She has books. What interest or need has she for anything else (even clothing)? |
I like the nudity. Like she's totally at one with the books or comfortable at home reading. Love the illustration, but way too big on the shirt.
i like the design. keep her naked.. i think it makes it more interesting.. plus its not risque or anything
but color variants would be nice, it would make the piece stand out more. |
Reading naked is ill advised. There are just some places that you never want to get paper cuts.
But, I like the design! |
This is beautiful. I took her nudity to mean that she was completely herself and at ease amongst her books. My only complaint is that the image is set too large on the shirt. Great work! 5.
It's not like you get any details - just 'cheeky' legs.
Chill - it's perfectly wearable in public - 99% of the content on the TV news is more explicit. Great illustration - nice shirt. 5 |
I only noticed the nakedness after it was pointed out, clothes would break the flow of the design so she should be naked.
Actually I don't think there is a deep meaning behind to nudity which is why it looks awkward to me. I agree with what others have said. Put something on her.
Not only is the nudity out of place, the proportions on the figure's legs are really odd, and her eyes look very strange. I love the concept, but think the reader needs some more work.
