I would buy this, but especially if Einstein looked happily puzzled--maybe a half smile, an arched eyebrow, a cocked mustache, thumb and forefinger on the chin?

I lOVE him, can we shrink him a bit though or something? Yeah he needs a bit more expression. he looks more like Alan Derschewitz than Albert Einstein.

I love the idea so $4 for encouragement, but I'd also like to see version 2 with Einstein expressing some recognition for his mistake.

those are some good suggestions peeps, my thinking on that sort of blank stare rather than an angry or disgruntled look is when you hand in that paper or test, that's the exact sort of face you have... you never can catch that "stupid mistake" until you get your test back...
