I don't see how having ships equals "a pirate thing." I doubt William Kidd ever had a sunshine flag. Which might explain why the hung him.

I can't really make out the taps so it's hard to tell what's really going on, but I think this is a cool design style anyway and really suits the nautical theme.

mezo on Jul 13 '07 I can tell the illustration is really nice, but there is so much going on that it gets VERY muddy and hard to see. Open it up more, add more negative space, allow the drawing to BREATHE. I also think the faucet tops look unfinished and the water flowing from them look different than the water in the waves- they should match in style & thickness of lines. Placement & scale of the design should also be re-thought. All that being said, awesome first submission!

Gorgeous. I also vote for (slightly!) higher placement 'cause the bottom 3-4 inches of shirt are lost on me, but the design is lovely and you've just earned my first rating. Also, I vote for the darker blue as the colors go (not sure how final color gets decided; I'm new here).

It seems like ships on seas are popular right now, but this really is beautifully drawn and I love the floating faucets. And the low placement is great, especially because...water flows to the bottom.

first sub? damn, i'm impressed, it's awesome! only thing i might consider changing is the faucets. it took me a while to figure out what they were, looked like something shooting up out of the water at first. but everything else is fabulous!

placement on the lower back is appropriate, because i fart up a storm. jk. dunno if i'm down with the placement, actually. i'd prefer to have the larger image on the front and center, with the small one in some alternate location on the back. either very top and center or very bottom and center or bottom corner or something...

also, i like the look of your layout, but it leaves a little too much to the imagination, in my opinion. maybe that's just me, but i like to see the actual design, in its entirety, placed on a shirt.
