thats not really a good description or example of deus ex machina, but definitely a cool illustration
hahah! awesome!
deus ex machina means "god from a machine." it's a literary technique...anyway, this is the literal version of it! |
dude... you are walking in god country here, this is one of those designs i don't have to think about buying because the reaction is immediate. just perfcect
ohh!!! its you, your design "what makes it go" was blaster, it must be printed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mezo, I tried it with a human figure, but it came across as too specific. I thought a human hand would be more of a symbol, more universal.
Is there any way to make the hand be more in the style of the god hand or the clouds and less photographic looking?
Excellent design. I definitely think you should keep the human hand -- parodies "Hand of God" nicely.
i like this but i think the human hand should have been more clear a bit like the robot hand or lose it and make the cloud more dense GREAT CONCEPT THOUGH
I really dig this. It reminds me of Terry Gilliam's animation on Monty Python. Great visual. I wouldn't change a thing.
the light color & fuzzines (halftone) of the human hand gives
it the appearance of being beyond (behind) the machine hand which makes it look like the hands missed at their attempt to touch aerial perspective -- example picture |
Fantastic idea, but I agree something needs to be done with the human hand. If not lose it, then something that makes it so it doesn't just look like a floating hand.
fugk the giraffe design, print this one instead... i would actually wear this one... bravo dan, you are amazing
congrats! yay... they printed it (TWO prints! how freakin' cool is that?) I kind of wish they had kept the hand in, but this is a definite purchase all the same.
Awesome design! What do you think about juxtaposing your deus ex machina hand in place of the deus hand in Michelangelo's Sistene Chapel work?

Human hand is optional
