Beautiful - and a very cool and well-executed idea.
Nice one. Would like to see it on a lighter shirt though - give it a more summery feel...? 5$ |
"The girl's body is elevated from the ground."
...by the trees that are growing through her torso. This is sweet. |
Yeah - the fact that she's slightly lifted from the ground is such a nice, subtle detail.
This is a print for sure. |
Oh wicked. I don't know if it's my style to wear impaled girls on a shirt but it's beautifully executed.

Must be a slow read...
Interesting looking, but I don't know if I'd wear a shirt with a tree growing out of a girl's butt. |
^ Are you blind? you can see that the tree starts from the ground, not her butt. Get glasses and a life!
That. Is. AWESOME! I love cherry trees. (if thats what it is...) elevated off the ground, painful, but so cool!! I would buy this shirt. 5 stars for you.
You know I love it.
Also, ekaj47 on Jul 11 '07 your great at doing chicks! sounds dirty. But I'm in a unique mindframe right now. |
OMG! Our design is quite similar (I think... no really?)... girl + branches + birds. Our brain is tuned to the same frequency that night... Ha! This is awesome.
Whoah. Awesome work on the ambiance & lighting. The branches impaling her body really make me uncomfortable. I'd MUCH prefer it behind her or something.
hey everyone. thanks for the awesome comments so far. i've been offline and didn't realise my link to the large version was screwed so you can check it out here.
I imagine the tree just slowly grew through her and around her as she became engrossed in her story and the world kept on moving.
I bet it didn't hurt at all. |
dang, I thought I commented on this already. Excellent colors, I'm really digging that red. $5 and please get this man another print.
This kinda reminds me of the original idea of our collab, but darker and weirder, and really well done. Great work, glad to see you finished this.
I wish I could read until trees grew through me. I really need to get through my summer reading before Harry Potter comes out.
Love it. It was a moment before I realized the tress were going through her, but once I did I love it even more.
Yet another stunning design. It's a crime that more of your designs don't get voted through. You should start up your own label, I'd be buying everything.
oh by the way. if you zoomed in really close and stretched vertically and then rotated 90 degrees clockwise you'd discover she's reading Jakes History of Threadless. i copied it from his blog.
i guess that she's so into her book that she has been reading in that one spot for so long that trees grew through her? maybe?
*Resisting urge to make a joke about getting some wood into you*
Yay Leon. I am fiving this before you even get there. |
I remember commenting on this one already, but I don't see it here. Anyway, it's outstanding work and needs to be a real live shirt right now.
Awesome Illustration! Bores me to death but still a great creation. I just wouldn't want to wear this. Other Threadless homies do I guess, whoot.
oh god, i absolutely love this! how did i miss the scoring? this is beautiful - keep up the outstandingly awesome work : )
But how can it score that high and NOT print? I clicked $5, therefore everyone else should have too! Grrrr.
