interesting ... i wish the Earth wasnt so perfectly round. I like the texture of the countries not a fan of the text, though it fits with the drawing style ... i dont know, such angst ... 2

I would absolutely looove this if, like forgotten_years said, the world wasn't so round. It should be more scribbled like the text. 4. good work, though!!

The texture looks like a fingerprint, is that what you were going for? Very cool anyway.

i wish the fingerprint was intentional... i was made aware of it after when I showed a friend. but the fingerprint fits in perfectly with the interconnectedness i was aiming for...

the earth is an "o"... so it spells one. but my boyfriend asked the same thing and i couldn't stop laughing at him. So it's really not just you.

Like many others, I would love to see a less round Earth. Placement is difficult to see in the illustration. It may be a little bit large. I'd like to see the whole image visible from the front.

I don't understand people asking for a "less round" Earth - what shape do you think the Earth is? It's almost perfectly round.
Personally, though, this isn't my thing, and I don't think it is good enough to print. It's too simple and plain, with too little impact. I don't like the "NE" font, and I'm not a fan of the sentiment, either. |

"too simple" ??? I will defend my design. the whole earth is extremely complex (and took forever to do actually)... and yet it does come off with simplicity. I think it parallels the paradox of the simple yet complex nature of all things natural. so there.

most things i do are simple... I'm not someone who looks at a design and says "wow it looks really hard to do so it must be worth printing."

heyyy you should enter this into the new gmail competition! the world and the fingerprint(albeit unintentional) and the cool scratchy script give me a sense of connected global citizen-ness. very cool, 5$
ps: maybe mess with the placement? it could add interesst and possibly make the globe fit? just a suggestion. |
