I'm not sure if it was Jeff Foxworthy, or one of the other blue collar comedians, that said "whenever a man stares in to a fire, he is thinking one thing: How am I going to get laid."
And as an male who's spent a lot of time in front of a fire, I like this shirt. But that being said, it is definitely giving off the "80's neon wolf howling at the moon" vibe... and that needs some refinement.... Maybe tone down the orange/blue contrast... and kill the bikini-top the fire-devil-woman is wearing. As an image it is nice... but if it's going to be a t-shirt it needs to be cleaner. and less tacky. |

love the woman in the flames... i think i would like her better if her face was a bit different... less like she is in pain and more dreamlike or seductive... and if she had more of the impression of a good head of wild hair, cos at the moment she looks a little bald.

It looks nice but I'm not a pyromaniac. I once heard of a case of an arsonist who got sexual gratification from lighting fires. He was ultimately caught because he remained at the scene of the crime um, getting gratified. I'd like to know for sure what was going on with his right hand. I don't want to be crude because I like the colours and the contrast. And I love the way the boy is the same colour as the fire so it's like two becoming one or the allure of the fire will destroy him, like a moth or something.

i think it's pretty cool, but i'm not too fond of the woman in the fire. i think it would be better if you killed the bikini top and made it more of an idea, or a hint of a woman in the fire instead of BAM! THERE IT IS. other than that, the quality of light is great, and i love the setting (with the moon, and tree)... great job!

Great job on the color. I love how the blue is butted right up to the orange, yet doesn't look out of place. Also nice work on the fire colors and general illustration. I really like this style (reminds me of steve purcell). Only thing I would change is placing it on the center of the shirt

Very nice Wulla!
It has a different feel than your normal style. I can't quite put my finger on it. But had I seen it through regular scoring and not in your blog I wouldn't have guessed it to be one of yours. The flame colors are amazingly well done. And I even like the off-center upper placement. It definately works well :) I'll give it a 5 (although the subject isn't for me) But I think it's fits the Cornelius competition perfectly! |
