First time I've designed with yellow, I'm pretty excited about it.

Pretty nice. This reminds me of the film "You and Me and Everyone We Know"

I'm pretty sure it's a direct reference to YaMaEWK...

Anyway, I like the evaporating hand. I think the placement could be stronger though. The hand is so directional; putting it right in the middle of the shirt kills all of that movement you might get from having a nice asymetrical layout.

As you should be excited about this design...it continues your string of tees i'd love to own! The only thing I would like to see on this shirt is the fire being a much bolder color to stand out from the rest a bit more but not so much to overshadow the hand...i dont mind the placement...4$

I love it on the natural. You can see the design behind the hand whereas I didn't even notice on the *extremely* yellow shirt.

it's fine.
only thing i don't get is why there's fire and stuff. but it probably doesn't matter. great job.

travioli on Jul 05 '07
it is a controdiction to the everything's fine statement. The fact that the hand is melting, burning and evaporating is to create a feeling that something is wrong.

i dont get how the firey hand and the text go together. is it take my hand, everything's fine, or take my hand, everything's fire?

maybe i'm missing something

The f looks like a t to me.
However I do love this shirt.
$4
5 if the t is made more obvious.

This is encouraging. An encouraging gesture. Encouraging words. I'd wear it WITH the yellow. Natural becomes boring after a while; yellow pops. Cool idea! :-)

This looks like the cover of the Stars album Set Yourself on Fire. Which makes it very awesome.

the F does not, in any way, look like a T...

Thanks again for all of the comments! I'm also having a hard time seeing how the f looks like t, but any lack of distinction is easily fixable.

I love the half tones, text, colors, and illustration together. I'd buy it.

This is poor taste. I'd hate to see the reaction of someone who actually was burned, like in the 9/11 attacks. 0
icebar
icebar on Jul 16 '07
love this more every time i see it.

shagg... :[ what the heck are you talking about??
it's symbolism. the shirt isn't sending a message about burning people.

well, I'm a firefighter, and I've been burned plenty of times (steam burns are the WORST), and rest assured that I take no offense to this.
