One more gimmick shirt like this, I'm-a smoke myself.

Wow, this is amazing! In all the years the internet has been in existence, you were the very first one to think of putting this on a shirt!

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but come on. This isn't an interesting concept, the shirt is ugly, and there was not a lot of time put into this. Come up with a good concept and take it to the Critique section.

I already have a shirt like this.

Sorry, this did make me smile even though I agree with the rest of the comments.

This is the least clever design I've ever seen. Although, I do think it is rather humourous that you would submit this to Threadless, a place that prides itself on great designs.

If something like this can make it to voting, then almost nothing should actually be rejected. Don't worry, you won't have to take too much abuse, this will be dropped after the first day due to it's low score.

Next time put a little effort into coming up with a concept.

Yup, I know all of the above, but like rathany said, he already has a shirt like this so somebody out there likes it, threadless havent printed it before. People will pay money to have it and I dont care.

Well contrary to popular belief I actually think this is brilliant! Very sarcastic and a great wear........You'd certainly find this on my chest!

This is the best design....on jinx.com. This is the best version of this idea that I think there needs to be, so let's put this concept to bed and buy that one instead.

Also, there are so many things wrong with your logic in the last response by you I don't even know where to start, so i won't.

Why peoples keep submit this kind of design lately? I don't think the lazy design like this worth $2000, maybe it just not for me. Anyway, you did more work than the "Black Border" sub.

I think some people have their heads far too up themselves to realise that this site is a business, its not about me thinking the work put into this design is worth $2000 or whatever, its about selling t-shirts. yes the design is simple, yes to took about 10 mins to draw, I couldnt find this idea on the site so I created and submitted it, theres a lot of comments on here by people who havent created a design of their own at all. yes by all means vote, thats the idea. if you would wear a tshirt with the design on it then click the $. but only bother commenting if 1. you actually know what your talking about and 2. if its going to be helpfull. the fact that I have never seen a tshirt with this on or this idea on here before should lead you to the conclusion that it is original. many people have the same ideas in entirely different ways.

you should take into consideration your rule #1

Yup, I know all of the above, but like rathany said, he already has a shirt like this so somebody out there likes it, threadless havent printed it before. People will pay money to have it and I dont care.

Fine, I'll explain what's wrong with this statement. First of all, sure it's understandable that you were unaware that there was already a shirt like this out there... but the fact of the matter IS, if there's already a shirt like this why would Threadless print it? Basically you're stating that anyone could find a shirt on a different site, copy it, and post it on Threadless because, 'hey, if its selling there... its sure to sell here!' Now, I'm not saying you copied this idea... but your reasoning skills lead me to believe that you would be completely cool with plagiarism as long as your able to make a few bucks.

I think some people have their heads far too up themselves to realise that this site is a business

Yeah, a business that prides itself on having completely unique artwork, not half-assed overused concepts

its not about me thinking the work put into this design is worth $2000 or whatever, its about selling shirts

Actually, it is. Before you talk about the shirt selling, you should realise that this is a CONTEST, and that the outcome of your design being printed is based not only on your concept (which apparently you think is even more brilliant knowing that its already been done 10,000 times), but the effort put into it, and the overall execution... which of course is then judged by everyone. So, it's probably best not to come off as an ass to the people that are ultimately the ones deciding the fate of your design.

cheers to that...

Actaually, my main problem with the shirt is that's it's just ugky to look at. It's cumbersome, I guess, is the best way to explain it. And, there are a million more artful ways to put this idea into a shirt. Personally, I think it would work better as a small breast pocket print, so the viewr has to focus in on the object before the suprise...

Also, I haven't posted any designs, myself, though I do provide concepts for a guy who does, and I think it's rediculous of you to think that your potential buyer has no right to comment on the shirts.
mygrandadsname
mygrandadsname on Jul 11 '07
Sorry, I meant "ugly" not "ugky," though, somehow that seems more appropriate.

I do have to mention at this point that I don't think everything on threadless is entirely unique e.g. http://www.threadless.com/submission/25101/Mourning_girl
