the artwork is beautiful, there's no question about it. I'm not sure if I'd actually wear it on a t-shirt. I'd prefer it as a painting. Something pleasant to stare at while sipping a martini and strumming a guitar.

i like it alot! but the placement is off for me, i think that it would look best wrapped around the left side of the shirt, but making sure the the lightpost isnt in the armpit. Also if you where to use the browny design over the blue-ish one i think it would be best to have it on a brown, while the blue looks great on the purple. Despite the above comments i love it $5.

i love the overall design, though i wish there was more detail in the lightpost. i love old lightposts and think a more elaborate design of this small part would take this shirt from a great idea to a higher level

This is even better than I remember it from the critiques. 5 for the sepia, 5$ for the blue with higher placement (it's currently not in a good place for girls!).

Gee, people really talk around a subject, don't they?
I don't know if it was intended or not, but this depicts Jack the Ripper. That makes it pretty unwearable for most people, as rape/murder is not our favorite idea to promote. On the other hand, the artwork is nice. Try drawing another subject and I think you'll do really well. |

And besides not being an obvious endorsement of Jack the Ripper, it's not even an obvious presentation of it - the lack of people mentioning Jack the Ripper before you is probably simply because they're not seeing Jack the Ripper rather than because they're 'talking around' it. It's a pair of rather threatening-looking men in archaic clothing , one of whom is holding something that might be a knife, standing by a lamp-post and whistling at a woman in similarly archaic clothing. It's definitely a creepy and ominous picture, but it's neither a clear image of Jack the Ripper (or even a clear image of rape and murder - they're scary and they're whistling, sure, but this picture about a threat rather than an act) nor a clear statement that 'promotes' his actions.

First off, love the design and sketchy feel, but I feel that maybe the design would look better as a wrap around as others have mentioned.
Second, Victorian doesn't instantly connote Jack the Ripper. While the top hatted fellows may be of questionable moral fiber, and there is a lady in red which may imply that she is a lady of the night, it strikes me more as a foggy lamppost scene in London rather than the promotion of murder. In summary, love it. |

And DrVSp, I'd toally wear a shirt with Jack the Ripper on it, but I'm just weird like that. But I did decide not to go that far with the design, made it slightly more innocent.

I love this.
Nest, I have to say that I thought of it as wolves in terms of seducing people, not raping and killing them. And I'm not feeling Jack the Ripper at all. Also, I think pushing the lamp post all the way over to the side of the shirt would make for better placement, but I would buy this regardless of where the design is placed. |

I know you didn't intend it, but I thought the whistling guy was just a wolf, but the guy in the back was Jack the Ripper.. which made me love the shirt more :)
