I like "Capitol of War" better, although this is more effective as a political t-shirt than "Capitol."

baconandeggs on Jul 02 '07
I think I like this one better then capital was a little more clever but I would buy either of them if one was printed. I like that this one plays off of a street sign. I give it a 5.

No.

Political and economical authoritarianism. Not war alone.

If this were the case, you could use Mecca as an icon for the ages.

I think capital of war is great but I think this is better, its just that extra bit more clever, all the people who dont like this guys stuff seem to be judging it soley on content but the style is AWESOME. 5

I love this design. I'd love it even more if you lost the text and trying to make it s sign. I think just the Capitol building done that way directly on the backround would be the mosr awesome.

you seem to be a person who finds politics interesting.. that's cool, but maybe not in shirt form... a blog perhaps?

Sorry, but this has the same problem as "Capital of War." Resubmit it with all American war machines and its a $5!
antibushguy
antibushguy on Jul 03 '07
Who cares if it is all american machines they are symbols of war. They are not pictures and who even says this guy is right that they aren't american, they are silhouettes it is just an opinion that the dont look american. I think it makes sense with non-american stuff anyway. $5

I don't think anyone will care what kind of guns they are. This is a 5. Strong statement, and well executed.

sparkleshaikh, i think BoneDaddy was just trying to say that this design is reminiscent of the Taj Mahal...

and everyone knows how Imperialist (you know who) is. ;-)

don't be so quick to shout "Allahu Akbar", silly girl.

(although i agree with the expression)

It does not need a slogan. It says enough without the tagline. Otherwise it has the feeling of the comedian that has to explain the joke because she does not think that audience is bright enough to get it. You pull off the political statement well, you have crafted a well reasoned design.

biesdesignstudio on Jul 06 '07
uhm. I like the other one a lot better. The White-on-blue with just the capitol alone?

PLEASE. You're splitting your own vote by using the same concept for multiple subs. That's what 'critique' is for. Please find it, use it, and whittle your concept down to a single sub. Thanks :)

I liked the first one better. I hate designs that are visably constricted within a box (the warning sign).

Also as a note most people HATE seeing the same sub redone unless it's a really really drastic change. Ie: totally new illustration for the same idea.

Suggestion is to keep submitting to the Critique section before you actually pick a final version to be in the running.
