About my design

by xetrovoodoo
Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books. I've loved it since I was a kid, but I always thought that the fanart was lacking in Jabberwocky lurv. It's all Alice and the Hatter (occaionally the Caterpillar for the hookah-lovers).

So here's my tribute to a truly awesome poem.

"`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:

All mimsy were the borogoves,

And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!

The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!

Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun

The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:

Long time the manxome foe he sought --

So rested he by the Tumtum tree,

And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,

The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,

Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,

And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through

The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!

He left it dead, and with its head

He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?

Come to my arms, my beamish boy!

O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'

He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;

All mimsy were the borogoves,

And the mome raths outgrabe. "

Thats a hell of a description for a shirt that looks more D&D than Lewis Carroll. The art is very well done. 3

Is the oval it's contained within supposed to be the looking glass? If so, some reflection would have been better... Maybe even legs to make it look like a standing looking glass. If it's just there to add to the design, I think it'd be better off just free on the shirt without being contained by the oval.

Either way, I really like this.

get rid of that oval outline, and have the monster's whole wings in there. The art is good- you just need to organize it.

I like the idea of making it look like it is inside of a mirror, even if that wasn't your intention, it would help it tie in to Alice in Wonderland.

I like the knight guy but the dragon thing needs some work I think. 3
