How can they watch the TV if there are bags on their heads? Anyway... it is really interesting.

Uh. Interesting idea, I guess. Not exactly subtle, but then, why should it be if it's about Guantanamo (amongst other things).

Doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of being printed, but it's not bad.

Isn't this about how current TV programming is torture to watch?

interesting concept and good job handling the light source. maybe there could be a more creative way to show that it's hell, though...

This is a deep, well thought out, tee which uses a combination of great (and dark) art as well as a relevant political statement (most likely on Guantanamo Bay) to make its point. This tee is very good, verging on remarkable, tee. At the same time, the political aspect of this design will probally keep it from ever getting printed. I don't think this has a place on a threadless tee, but it's definetly an image worth spreading in other ways.

Wow.. deep.. actually too deep for me to wear on a shirt.

The style is great - it recalls the 30s muralists in context and style, but the "welcome to hell" annoys me because the intended recipient can't see it due to having a bagged head.

I think it's tasteless to profit from this and shameful.

I think this is a little bit in bad taste too. Sorry, I like the idea, but I couldn't wear something making light of the events at Guantanamo Bay.

wow. ... Hell is in the TV... So is God.

We are all held hostage... Our eyes are covered, but we still watch. ... Sometimes i wonder, whats the difference between those who the terrorists hold hostage, and the people locked up at home. ... None of us are free. Freedom is an illusion.

People all put this as Guantanamo, or Al-Garib... Why cant any of you see that these people are us?

He isnt making fun of them... he is making fun of us. You are all more concerned with who is making profit from prisoners misery to see how he is saying we ourselves are prisoners.

Heaven isnt out there. Only Happiness in Slavery.

I don't see Guantanamo. They were more ... witchy. No, I'm serious. I would never joke about these crimes. That said, I'd like it better with the tv screen showing snow. Do you remember snow? I loved it. It was my favorite thing to do as a child. I miss watching snow with the noise on very loud. I would not buy this now anyway, cause I'd hate for someone to think ... Guantanamo? Bummer.

Suffication and Torment? Like... If they did manage to get the bag off their head they would see the TV and be like "NOOOooooooo...." And then all the doors would be welded shut and they would have to starve to death because they chose not to sufficate. This is my twisted idea behind this shirt.
ecky_ducky
ecky_ducky on Jun 30 '07
It's very brave on a community like this. I don't think I could wear it - I'd feel hypocritical for preaching with my breasts about something I haven't really mulled over much in real life.

But the style is good.

However, the text on the tv seems a bit off.

I don't know how this is an instantly deep tee just because it is quite well drawn and uses some Guantanemo images to make an unclear point about torture and television? I would REALLY love to hear an explanation from the artist besides "the sub speaks for itself." Fantastic drawing tho.

The most interesting part of this submission is the responses. I agree with the above poster, I'd like to hear what the artist says about this before I score it.
