I like the concept, the drawings, the layout, the text. The juice bugs me, though. It's just wrong. You don't get juice when you zest an orange.

Fan-freaking-tastic. Love the expression, the eyebrows, the zester... my only concern is that the speech balloon is covering part of the orange's body and the root at its head is covering part of the balloon. The design would look less crowded if you made it a bit smaller and had the balloon float above the orange.

But the oranges and the cheese grater kinda confused me. I don't know, it just seemed weird having the orange threating to grate the other dude. xD I like it, but i think it would also be cool to have blocks of cheese, so like the dudes' gonna grate him. ... |

It's a good idea, but I agree with whoever said it looked more like a cheese grater than a zester. I didn't look at the title and it took me a second to figure out what was going on.
I really, really like the concept but I don't know how much I like how the oranges are drawn. |

MrDomino on Jun 25 '07 I also love the backstory. Great idea for the contest, though I agree that you could have worked it up a little more. I think the text is important and funny. I think that little "zest" from the peel on the ground would be a good accent and that the body language of the characters needs more "oomph."

I agree with Gillespy completely- the speech bubble is the only awkward bit about this design and I think it can be easily fixed. :) Love the concept muchly!
