About my design

by mikey0145
This was inspired by a project in which we had to make a poster that described a color using only text in black and white.

This is a good poster. (As shirts go, it's a little too "Wham" for my tastes.)

I think you need a space between "Stop" and "Hate."
bozz7
bozz7 on Jun 19 '07
well, it defeats the design of the exclamation point if you would space them out.

i think this is brilliant i love it and would buy it no matter which color is printed, but id slightly prefer red and white

See, problem being, if you ' just love' too much, you're gonna get AIDS.

WHY IS EVERYONE HAVING A TEXT ORGY LATELY...

7/10 girls I see have these "political statement" shirts... they're in every main clothing chainstore. Starting to piss me off seeing as most people don't give a shit, fashion statement my arse. This is a site which focusses on design, not just copying what you see in the shops. Anyway should have been submitted as slogan.

It's not bad, just its being overdone at the moment.

fouchnickens on Jun 19 '07
Why is the splatter focused on the "just love?" I think war, AIDS, etc., cause a bit more splatter than love. This is very similar to the GAP (red) shirt, in which the consumer is supposed to "feel" the political outrage through the purchase of a t-shirt made in a third-world sweatshop.
dr. loopy94
dr. loopy94 on Jun 19 '07
this is a good statement, i guess.....umm yea but its just not somethin that would be printed on threadless
Bowtie
Bowtie on Jun 19 '07
hmmm .... wouldnt the love make the AIDS worse??

lol, as a shirt it is a *bit* much.

mangadork on Jun 19 '07
bowtie, I had the exact same thought haha.
verbalbird
verbalbird on Jun 19 '07
why is everyone complaining? it is a shirt with a good message, made by an individual, not some corporation hiring third world countries. i dig the design, i prefer it in red/white 5
sudanesepooch
sudanesepooch on Jun 20 '07
i think people are complaining here because they hate being reminded of the fact that in their lifetime they proably wont do a damn thing to prevent what this design displays....i mean, i think thats obvious. myself included...because aids is totally trendy in the 2000's

Every design that is shaped like this reminds me of the Vote or Die! MTV ad campaign of the early 90'd or a breast cancer foundation banner or something. I like the exclamation point, but this would be better funding a specific cause and not for a Threadless shirt. not a bad attempt.

It's like it's trying to say something. I just know it.

Too "bleeding heart" for my taste.

The hate, rage and war splattered the blood where you put the 'just love'. How appropriate.

i like it alot despite all these critical losers who think they're too cool to wear a shirt like this. good job i like it
mdxxxvi
mdxxxvi on Jun 21 '07
I like this conceptually...oh, cool, red things. What I don't like is the placement of "stop" and "just"...I understand that "stop" could be indicated by red, but I don't like the preachy-ness of having it as the first word.

Maybe cliche, maybe bleeding heart, but cool on red.

Agreed - using it to raise funds somewhere else might be better than selling it at threadless. Not bad design.

"stop debt" doesn't really make much sense....

It's like saying "stop yellow, orange, blue, and firetrucks"

Stop Debt? Love won't stop debt. Actually, paying attention to your spending helps stop debt. 0. If buying this went towards developing cures or something, then i'd buy it. But otherwise it's just rude. Go out and do something about these problems instead of wearing a shirt to show support.
