It's kinda surreal, the idea that is, behind this design: pouring your essence, disembodied heads and hands. It's actually based on sketches and notes in my journal entry:
The Source of Knowledge: Moleskine Journal Entry About the hands, I really didn't contemplate on the actual position of the hands, and drew as I felt it should be. A friend pointed out that the left hand gesture is a common gesture in Hawaii meaning "chill", "greeting/hello/Aloha", and even "I love you..." |

This is really gorgeous. I agree that the hand at top should be refashioned so it looks like a disembodied pink hand (to match the girl). $4.

i love the idea.. the hand is a bt akward but i dig, i agree with mjoo.. it would have been awesome if the pink cup were pouring herself =].. although i dont get why the blue cup has a tear on his face =[ aw.. does he not want of me? =].. great job!

i agree with the pink cup pouring itself.. also, i dont really get whats going on with the blue cup, because he has like three moods going on at once. haha but otherwise this is a really cool idea and well executed.

Thanks so much for the comments... I really don't like explaining too much about what's going on, because this is essentially a surrealistic piece. Let's just say, the tears represents an overwhelming emotion... not necessarily associated with sadness.

"A Cup of Me" reminds a friend of mine of the Joni Mitchell song, A Case of You which captures the essence of this design:

like i said, i love the design and the colours. I find it very English, too, i don't know why...Maybe, ti's becauses people here tend to offer you a cup of tea everywhere you go. Obviously, it's 'me' that is offered in this shirt design. The joni mitchell song does indeed capture the essence, too. O=)

Fantastic. I love the shades of blue and pink and how the whole tee shirt is kinda of one mellow wash over. The colors are very pleasing to the eye. $5!
