a little higher over the seams and a tad bit smaller, plus add some textures or more shading on the bird, other than that it is very funny, I like it! great first sub $3

Thanks guys. This is way exciting! Funny comment mjoo, that's pretty much what inspired this design. That and I've always felt sorry for worms :)

Don't worry, dustball doesn't like anything.

I think this would be a winner if it had more textures and shading. Please keep the basic elements though! (especially the worm's chompers and expression)

I laughed out very loud :)) And at the same time I want to sream "oh no!" to warn the poor worm! The worm's facial expression is hilarious!

I like the idea of playing on the phrase. Especially this one because I think it depends on the perspective - is it the early bird eating the worm, or the early worm being eaten by the bird?!

For all early worms I want this PRINTed!! $5!!

@tmonkey. That's my feeling too. Stupid birds, why are they up so early and making all that racket huh? Worms on the other hand are nice and quiet.

I would love to see a redesign with mj00's text

my criticism : the bird is a bit plain. make it more realistic
or give it some of that fantastic snap you've given the worm
( facial expression and human body traits )

my praise : instantly able to get the concept and the worm is great

Thanks for your comments. I agree about the bird, the worm turned out REALLY well and I think perhaps I could have worked a little longer on the bird, but the message is clear which is the main thing really.

I like this. Would like it even more as a realistic worm and bird, with semi-realistic giant sharp teeth on the worm. Cartoony is fun, but sometimes realistic with the unexpected can be even better. I enjoy seeing the worm get one in on the bird...considering that birds like robins are so darn nasty about their worm hunting. I've seen them torture a worm endlessly before abandoning it! Time for a little revenge.

@ mephitine Yeah, I did start out with a realistic drawing, but I had issues making the worm realistic, I mean it's a worm, a long pink thing with no expression. So that's why I went more cartoony! But thanks for your input.

@infamousempire NO WAY! The worm is getting some much deserved pay back here!

I really like the concept and the design. At first I thought that a more "cartoony" bird would match better with the style of the worm, but as I thought about it more it works great as-is with the wrap-around design. From the front it looks like the usual bird-eating-worm scene, but on the back you get the comedic twist. Love it!
