It's all right. I like the concept. Not too fond on the execution. Perhaps the bird should be shoved in a bottle...
I like this enough to buy it, but I'd need to see a close-up of the cyrillic. As it is, I can't see any Ks in the second word - how can you spell 'cocktail' in cyrillic without Ks?

What is up with the brown outline on everything? This is a cool concept, but the outline is totally unnecessary and distracting.

In response to wigbowl; If you want to zoom in, just click and drag.
There was no Russian word that I could find for "Cockatiel" so it says "Molotov the Bird" |
The burgundy outline was to make it look more 'logoish' and to make the design pop more against the background. Looked more interesting than a normal black stroke.

Thanks for the tip Vladdy, that's the kind of stuff I was asking for in the critique, unfortunately nobody stepped up. Oh well...
i like the burgundy outline, it gives it a nice touch. sometimes black is just blah for certain designs. good job. :D
Oh hee! I didn't know that was the word for Cockatiel. Neat, because of its similar sound to the English word "popinjay". I love languages.
Also, I love this design. Well done! |
I have a pet cockatiel, and he is by far the most vicious and evil littlebastard you have ever known..... $5
Also the "P" in ptitsa looks like a "L" as in "lyet." I like the design and the idea tho. Would like to see more cyrillic stuff.
Hehehe something new and different, its great! I hope you submit lots more, your vector work is wicked. $5!!
Yes, but it is named after Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Molotov, who was a Soviet. Being as how the word Molotov is of Russian origin, i thought that it was more appropriate for the design.
