The strenth in this design is it's aesthetic appeal, but the joke is wearing a bit thin. "Emu sounds like Emo. Hahahaha..." But you did a great job at making it look good.

Similar concept, but the art is drastically different. If we called out people every time concepts overlapped (especially common concepts like this one) nothing would ever get posted here.

The tear is a bit overdone. The text is interesting and balances out the design, if you ditch it it's too top heavy. Other than than, I'd love it on a colour I'd actually wear :(

When I was in high school, we made the Emu Crew in response to emo music. Of course, no one knew what the fuck emo was but us back then, so no one got it. It wasn't very funny in the first place. Moral of story: Ebullition Records sucks.

Can I just say, this doesn't seem at all like an Emo-hatin' trip to me.
It's just a good, old-fashined play on words. And in a really nice visual style too! I don't think the tear is necessary, though. I'd get it without. Emu's are hella-cool birds BTW. |
