yeah...it's a sick stab at flying mouse's seal clubbing shirt... WTF?...no. It's a manatee, first off. Second off, I had a seal clubbing slogan before flying mouse had that design. Thirdly, I love flying mouse's designs, and I wouldn't try to poke fun in any form or fashion and Finally, I just like making lists.

This is not an attack at manatees, I love them just as much as the next guy. In fact, you could call me a sea cow-boy. It's just a a design, for design's sake, but I guess I can understand if you don't like it.

This is a nice sketch of a manatee. The blood would be fine with me if it was meaningful in some way but I don't see it as meaningful in this design.

The message, or reasoning, behind the front image is not immediately obvious. I'd go as far as to say it's almost distressing.
But, the message you're trying to convey is a sensible one and you should try to create a more coherent design that will hopefully appeal to more users. As barriebarrie said, more meaning.

Wouldn't wear it. Would be annoyed seeing someone wearing it. Simply put, poorly done design that is tuggin' at heartstrings.

WTF is up with all the rude comments? I understand saying, yeah I like it, or what I can improve, but statements like "poorly done design" makes no sense to me. At least point out what's so poor about it, maybe give me suggestions on what I can fix.

Ok, martiandrivein, I just drew your design with my left hand (righty) in under 3 minutes. Not being rude, just telling the truth.

cold collards, who cares? until I see a design of yours, you comments have nearly no merit. If you are truely 31, act your age please, and be mature. Still you have given no constructive criticism, just attitude.

Since age is relevent to you, chill out junior. Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions, involving both positive and NEGATIVE comments in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one. I never said "This sucks", I merely pointed out the design was poorly done and I wouldn't wear it. Get tougher skin. I hope one day the statement "poorly done design" will make sense. Cuz it's the nicest way to put it.

Cold_collards, I understand the definition of constructive criticism. "well-reasoned" however is not what I would call "I can draw this with my left hand"... I would call that being a braggart and inconsiderate. I'm sure there are many who agree with me, even if they don't like this design (as made noted by it dropping early- due to blood no doubt) that those kind of comments are completely unwarranted and non-constructive in anyway. Also, "poorly done design" is not articulate at all, and would require some more input as to why in order to be constructive. I understand if people didn't like this design, I wasn't expecting much out of it, but your comments were entirely uncalled for.

OK, I said I wasn't going to do this but I will. I apologize, Martiandrivein, for being so vocal (in a sense) about a design that I cared nothing about. I am nearly positive my comments did not effect your score but if so, sorry. You came off to me as arrogant in citing how you had the whole baby seal clubbing design first and started the whole "WTF" the minute someone didn't like the design. Poorly done design was the wrong wording. Poorly executed was what I should have said. You can argue with me, but not the score. Was a pleasure being the punching bag for your frustration. Stay inspired.

And just one other thing. I really didn't know how to tell you to improve on a line drawing with a red slotch and a photoshopped propellor on the back that you "...wasn't expecting much out of...", yet started the posting with "$5". Again, I'm sorry if I truly offended you. You seemed to have real strong feelings about your design.

naw, it's cool man. I'm more offended at the unneseccary comments such as the left hand thing. I know it's a simple line drawing, because I DID it... if it was really that hard to do, It would have taken me alot longer to complete.

My first comment with the 5$ as well as defending myself against the flying mouse comment were pretty much jokes--see the very end of my 2 comment on this page, you can see my sarcasm, a little bit.

Just in the future, I propose a little bit of tact, and maybe some well founded comments, as well as offering suggestions on how to improve a design, rather than saying how bad it is an how annoyed you would be if someone ever wore it.

Martian, I think the controversial nature of the sub, as well as your own sensitivity of negative feedback have attracted people who want to hate on you. It's unfortunate, but it happens.

Fact is, I just don't know how many threadless customers are going to wear a shirt like this. This might be more at home on a PETA site or something a bit less casual. I know these shirts can make statements, but this is a little too "real" for common man.

I jjsut recently joined this site, so am just now seeing your design. Since I actually live in the middle of manatee country (where everybody comes to harass them) I feel I can speak to this.
May I suggest that instead of putting the propeller on the back bottom of the shirt that you move the manatee a little bit lower on the front and add the propeller to the top left. That way it's a bit more obvious as to the message that you are trying to convey....and you can do it without adding any words.
