you might be thinking of mayflies, reetzy. fruit flies can live for an upsettingly long time. i don't think i've ever hated any animal as much as the tubes of fruit flies we worked on in genetics. wretched, disgusting creatures.

I like this one. And I agree with you, manatee...those oatmeal-tubes-of-fruit-flies projects were disturbing (especially the part where you gassed them in order to view them under a microscope) ;) |
