whoa! cool concept...but the swirls are slightly distracting for some reason.
i'd simplify a bit, maybe not do the faux-aged thing... but the joke is simply hilarious. |

I would say don't make it look aged, and make the narwhale more clearly a narwhal - but it is definitely a kick-ass concept

mj00 on Jun 06 '07 Aw, I love the style of this. Could the narwhal horn be bigger or more clearly a part of the narwhal (texture?)... Not that it matters, I guess, I'd wear it without any changes.

yeah, i agree with removing the vintage. it takes away too much from the almighty narwhal

mj00 on Jun 07 '07 But the vintage-ness totally adds. Narwhals are associated with history more than the present so I think it works. This way, it looks like a legend about a guy who had a narwhal for a cue stick!

LOVE the aged texture/look. Do not do away with that. Do make the narwhal more obviously a narwhal and more obviously part of the cue. Then print it so I can buy it :-)

i didn't see the narwhal at first. i thought it was some sort of play on "pool shark" with a poorly drawn shark (which it obviously isn't).
i try not to read the title of the design because i feel like you should always let the design speak for itself. just my opinion. anyways nice illustration, i like how the swirls in the background are continued in the pool table |

this made me grin. i think it'd be groovy if the narwhal were flopped on the floor with a disgruntled look on its face, instead of defying gravity!
