wow there are so many anthropomorphised-fruit subs that i thought the banana was supposed to have a face! i was very confused.

nice typography work. I think if the pencil was integrated more into the design it would be a buy, it goes with the whole design, but looks like it was added as an after thought. 5

I don't like this...anyway, it should be "really" bored. Besides, it's pretty text-based which most people don't like. Cool concept. Not so keen on the execution.

$5! I'd buy it!

Nice! I've never drawn on a banana, maybe I should...

typography is really nice, but not something I would wear at all. I think the print size bothers me.

Ha ha! Superb. Loving the typography and the slightly sinister grin.

My weapon of choice for banana doodling would have to be a biro...

I think I'd like it without all the words.
go banana.

another banana... as said nice type, but not a statement I'd wear. (ps I wish I could draw on fruit at work and stay employed =p).

I go more with oranges. Should use a sharpie instead, it doesn't poke through the skin ;)

one with experience drawing on bananas would know that pencils are not so good (too light, too hard...). Even a ballpoint would work better.

DaleEdwin on Jun 07 '07
Ah but the secret timadd is to press down hard my child. Have no moercy for that banana and your little yellow friend will come to life. As it were.

I really like the text, it's an awesome font.
...Banana-face! xD

been there, done that; extra-fine point sharpies work best.

crunchygirl on Jun 07 '07
I was also going to recommend a Sharpie - but it looks like you used a ballpoint pen on yours (thumbnail), which worked nicely.

Nice banana. heh heh.

i like your banana face a lot. I'd like it with just the banana. (and it really bothers me that it says 'real')

I got a sexual innuendo at first from this shirt.

I like the fact that the eyes are on the side.
It makes the banana a little more sinister.
Also, I love the type. Did you do trace fonts, or do it by hand? Or digital?
Unfortunately, I wouldn't buy the shirt. Personal preferance.
I would, however, most likely buy a wallet or notebook with your banana on it.
Ok, I just noticed that the pencil is part of the design.
Pencil doesn't need to be there at all.

I'd like it better with out the type and just the pencil and banana

Maybe lose the pencil, but yeah, it's funny all right. I like your style.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm going into work on Monday morning armed with a Sharpie and an orange and am going to make it happen.

This shirt NEEDS the type...that's the whole point of why the fruit has a face! Fantastic job daleEdwin of combining text and art together in a finely tasting swirled smoothie! 4$

I do this on bananas, but with a paperclip and let those areas brown and it comes out really cool, sepia and yellow. I've even redone starry starry night on my banana peels (yesh, I get bored)
