Hmm. Maybe it's a tag. Is it supposed to be like a stuffed squirrel? That crane thing doesn't look much like the cranes usually do in those 'crane game' machines...

Consequently, in looking for a picture of what the cranes do look like, I ran across this neat video, it illustrates the crane model I'm thinking of, and also is a neat video about how to win at said crane games. Now this may still have nothing to do, really, with this design... just a guess.

i really love your style, your squirrel, and the idea. but if you have to go back and redo this i would make it more clear, plus the crane is hard to see.

This is a great idea, just needs better execution. Have a look at one of the arms in one of those machines and draw it more realistically. Also make it clearer that the squirrel is plush.

If the squirrel is plush, it's not likely to have a tag on the middle of its back...kind of an odd place for a tag.
Then again, I remember in the 80's when Girbaud was putting tags on the front button placket of their shirts (and I think on the zipper fronts of their pants, too). Do they still do that? I guess anything is possible. |

Cute! I just would suggest making the crane a bit different so that people will recognize it right away. Perhaps make it a different color? Maybe you could also have a couple of other stuffed animals lying around to show that the squirrel is a stuffed animal.

It's not the crane people aren't getting, it's the tag. If it was more clearly a tag then this would be great.

I had no idea what this was until I read the comments. Those crane things usually come down straight from above. Also, maybe if it was more apparent that the squirrel is a toy, i.e. stitch lines or something? The "tag" ...unclear.

I like the illustration style for sure. But yeah, it is a bit confusing.

It's weird that you can see into both ears from the side. The light brown in the ear farthest away has to go.
And it took me quite a while to figure out it's a stuffed squirrel. It doesn't look (enough) like one. Give it some stiches and stuff (no pun intended) to make it look more .. stuffed. Also I think the arm would work better if it came down vertically (like they do). That would emphasize the "crane game" look, too. |

i didn't get it until i read the comments. the crane arms should be longer and maybe more suffed animals around. love the concept idea though

if you are going to make an ambiguous and relatively confusing design, at least have the courtesy to explain it. no one is gonna want to vote high for/buy a shirt that they "guess" means something.

So. cute...but I don't get it either. I could be a crane game..but A squirrel plush isn't really realistic in one of those games...I don't think anyway.

I say, redo the tag & crane hand, then resubmit. I would definitely buy it if it were more decipherable.

he's a stuffed animal (notice the tag?), in one of those machines where you pop in a dollar and try to grab a stuffed animal/prize with the mechanical arm.

I like the idea, but the tag needs to look different (or perhaps in a different place) but the crane looks a bit like a rake crossed with a fishing pole. Great idea, but a bit confusing.

I love this concept EXCEPT, the crane should be more prominent, so it stands out. (At first, I thought it was some probe... :/ ) And the idea of other stuffed animals (not necessarily prominent, just maybe outlines in the background in solid colors) would help.
