Wonderful idea! I agree that that the shield needs something, but otherwise I love it. Even though I usually hate pink, it does work well. I wouldn't mind seeing what it looks like on green. :)

Really, really funny, great trace... I like it. A bit sad about the shirt color, i think another will fix better... also the placemente, I agree with Rosemoo. Anyway, the design is awesome, and placement or shirt color can be changed without loosing, so 5$

Ya it could go on something other than pink probably; but i wanted a light color, not plain white though, that would let the drawing stand out. But, you could put it on a lot of other stuff I just didn't play with it much. But that isn't too hard to change thank goodness. So if you like the drawing but wanna see it on a different color - no problem! feel free to suggest other colors.

I vote for a Coat of Arms on the Shield - it feels a little blank - even something simple like a Fleur de Lis, or something. But really well done~!

Agree about making the design smaller and putting a fleur de lis or something on the shield so it's not distractingly big and red, but overall it's great!

$4 needs a coat of arms on the shield, a different color than that bold of a red for the shield, and something other than pink for the shirt.

ok I'll stop after this but I played with the color one more time. it's on seafoam - a color not really on the template but I've seen shirts printed on it before. I feel like blue or grey would compete too much with the other greys in the pic, so i like this as an alternative. |

Ok, because I am a HUGE nerd: what you've got there is a fencing foil. A jousting lance is longer, thicker and held under the arm. It might look more like a joust if you fixed this small detail (unless of course, it's deliberate and I'm just missing the joke). I also think the shield could be a bit bigger and do with a design. That said, I LOVE the idea and wold really like to see it fleshed out a bit.

Oh and jousting poles are thicker, and longer I think he has a rapier. For appropriate sizing maybe a regular longsword would be better you don't wear plate armor for fencing.

I like the khaki... it really makes the drawing stand out well I think.
I think the fleur is a bit... cliche? or maybe its just that its another big thing... anyway, it still seems to draw the eye a bit. Also, I have to agree with the comment above that that is a fencing foil and it seems incongruous to the geeks in the audience. All this having being said.... Would most definately purchase in a second. 5 bucks. |

umm!!! knights didn't use fencing swords. they used lances or spears, the way you have it doesn't make sense

NO to the longer sword. That makes it look worse. The original design w/ the shield insignia is the best. Don't listen to everyone.

Definitely keep to lighter colors and I liked the original sword better. The problem with the thicker sword is that it needs more detail at that size then simply being big and black. If you fix that up, it'd be perfect. Oh, and it's better with the insignia on the shield. |

I know this has already been said, but this design just doesn't make any sense if the knight is holding a fencing foil (sword). It could be a normal sword (though a proper jousting lance would be better), but a knight wouldn't ever use a foil - as far as I know that's not something that anyone would take onto a medieval battlefield (at least, not if you wanted to live).
The other version of the sword isn't great either - you've still got the same hand-shield thing, and the lance itself is just a thick black line. Look up some lances on the net, redo it, and you've obviously got yourself a winner here. Oh, and the pink is horrible for this. |
