a few of van gogh's last paintings contained crows, harbengers of death, (as I recall) so this is probably the reference! not to Poe

As much as I hate joke shirts, I have a soft spot for both puns and van Gogh, and you've done a great job emulating his style of painting.

I'm an art history major and I'm always waiting for great art shirts besides the worn-out cliches (versions of the Mona Lisa and The Scream). This speaks not only to my favorite subject, but my love of a good bad-joke : ) I'll definitely be buying this!

i'm normally a sucker for Glenn Jones, but gotta be honest and say that THIS is my favorite Threadless shirt - that i own and in general!
honestly, i think a good number of people who've seen it (on me) haven't really understood it. i think they don't really look closely enough to even see that it's NOT Scooby Doo hanging out of the Mystery Machine. they just glance, and see a similar looking van, and that's what they assume it is and leave it at that. frankly, i'm disappointed in my friends & family. ;) |
