I love the idea that this might offend British people...
To all the non-Brits - we will be happy to sell the Queen to the highest bidder. We have neither the need, nor the space, for her these days. Nice idea, but I'm not too keen on the illustration - I'd like to see something less cartoony and more B-Movie. |

i'm british and i dont find it offensive at all-to be honest i could say some really nasty things about um as i think they are a waste of space and tax payers money-they aint even british-they're german.

Ady has a few anger issues to tussle with, it seems... They're comical, absurd irrelevances trapped in a gilded cage, man, not fascist oppressors of the people who deserve a violent death.
And zipperking, you'll have to look long and hard for any Threadless Brits who would be offended by this. They'll mostly be cheering you on. |

Picture yourself as a royal, particularly an heir to the throne - you're born into this dreadful institution, your whole future is laid out for you, you've been robbed of choice and freedom by an accident of birth and condemned to a weird, unreal life of everyone fawning over you, of dreadful tedium and of shocking chintzy decor everywhere you turn. They should dismantle the whole edifice out of compassion more than from any other motive. Those poor, pitiful, racist, privileged, gin-soaked zoo exhibits...

I agree, maybe a clock face on Big Ben. (Yes, I know Big Ben is the clock.) But it's still awsome the way it is! I love the simplicty.

Actually Big Ben refers to the bells inside the clock tower. But whatever.

Taponmyback, there are some noticeable monuments/buildings there already - Parliament, the Gherkin, St Paul's Cathedral. Unfortunately there are a couple of buildings there that just don't exist in London, though - you could replace those with the London Eye and then it'd obviously be London.

It seems that many Brits feel the way about their royalty as Americans feel about Paris Hilton and her ilk. And though I feel sorry for them to a certain extent (their lives plotted out for them, stuck in a cookie-cutter existence), they DO have the ability to make more of themselves. I know that if I had their resources, I would shun all the pointless galas and spend my time doing tons of charity work. If you're the top dog, you CAN rock the boat. While all of us peons can only dream of changing the world, those folks have the money and power to actually do it.

This is so amazing I can't even wrap my mind around it.
Queen is perfect in themselves, but illustrated and slapped on a tshirt = full of win. Maybe just add a few details but no overkill. Definitely not a reflection of the Queen, it'd look weird. =/ But I'd buy this in a heartbeat! |
