I like the yellow, it fits with the way Warner Bros. used to design and color the cartoon.

so....uh...this might seem like complete bullshit but...
most of my ideas come to me right before i go to sleep at night. that's not the bullshit part, this is: about 2 weeks ago i was laying there and it popped into my head. the coyote finally catches the roadrunner. and i'll make the characters realistic. i even got out of bed to write it down so i would remember the idea. needless to say i just scratched that idea off of my "to design" list. which means i just 5'd and "i'd buy it" for this one. because i seriously am going to buy this for the sake of buying. oh, and because you probably pulled this idea off better than i would have. congrats on a future sale. |

this is fantastic! (but I have to admit the coyote's ears are bugging me... The further ear is twice as big as the closer ear)

Crazy- I hate when that happens. Letter-The close ear I was trying to foreshorten, didn't look odd till you mentioned it. Now I admit it kind of does. |

Ellsswhere on May 28 '07 gorgeous... rework the roadrunners head, I read the feathers on his head as a short stubby beak, took me a minute to "find" the face. Beside that 5$ because what you just described sounds so similar to what I remember as a kid.

hogboy on May 29 '07 When I was at college one of the teams did an animation in 3d Max (rendered in cartoon reyes) of a scene where the Coyote finally catches Road Runner, funny as hell.... This isnt something I'd buy personally but it is a great idea, I love the organic execution & it looks like something that would get printed & sell well on threadless.

not sure if i totally dig the color scheme or bird's confusing head (its crest looks kinda like its beak)... but besides that, holy cow, this is fantastic.

FRICKINAWESOME on May 30 '07 Really clever design, althoug i wish there was the smallest word bubble "Meep." coming out of the realistic road runner's mouth, but i'd know that would ruin what you are going for. Still, very nice job on the realism and fun of the colors and concept.

Ha! Awesome idea! I love the realistic look, so neat! I love the rollerskates, too. I echo the above regarding the bird's head, the coyote's ear, and I'd like to add something about the coyote looking a little bored, he seems to have such an impassive look on his face, as if he doesn't even know what's going on. At least a sparkle in his eye would be great. Also the pile of birdseeds looks like a rock or maybe sand. But honestly, this could win just the way it is. =)

I think the bird's head is a bit confusing at first, maybe because the "crown" (or is it called "crest" ?) looks somehow like the beak.
But then, if you know that cartoon you'll remember that innocent look of the bird. :) I really love this! |

It is called "Little Bird Bee-bee" overhere in Chinese. That "bee-bee" refers to it's sound.

resub this with the roadrunner's head in more of a profile position and without the small sand clouds at the base of its feet
it was hard for me to see that the roadrunner was looking straight at me and the sand clouds look more solid than wispy |
