i think the lollipop looks like it doesn't belong with the rest of the design. it doesn't flow with the style.

I agree with 35mmurray. Something needs to be done with the lollipop to make it so it fits more in with the rest of the design, which is just great.

reminds me of Marylin Manson a bit...I dig the style/concept, pink kills it a bit for me too.

Give the loli-pop a little shape. Some shading in the curves, would do wonders for the design. The design clearly NEEDS the loli-pop to work... It might even be good to add some kind of skull pattern into the candy swirls. Maybe not skulls... maybe just some black swirls with... but seriously if the candy was more rendered, with a lot of care taken to make it look more realistic. It really is the centerpiece... If you touch up the candy. Id give this a 5 hands down.

jbyron on May 25 '07 I don't want to seem bull-headed or antagonistic but, the lolli is supposed to be the focal point... and everyone seems to focus on the pink, making me think that I succeeded wildly - a negative reaction is far better than indifference for me.
Regardless, thanks for everyone's opinion but personally, I would rather go the other direction - I would love a shiny, wet-looking varnish of some kind over the pink making it stand out even more. But apparently, that's just me. - kisses, jbn |

i think the brighter pink would work as opposed to the baby pink or a bright lime green, yeah and lose the text.

i don't like the lollipop. the color is awful and it just seems like lack of effort as far as design goes. i also dislike the blue. i would love to see those elements in a rusty orange.
i do like the design (minus those things). very creative. i would like it more if the text had less space between the lines. |
