I think it's clear that the dinosaur is a shadow without the tree, which is distracting.

i think you need to have the cuteness of the tree because the archaeologist being cute would be odd by itself with the non-cute (but still lovely) dinosaur...

don't like the color that much... took me a few seconds to see the design clearly, maybe you should have used a lighter color instead of the maroon since your design consists mostly of shade. but i think it's cute... $4

The tree could work. But right now, it just doesn't. It didn't help me realize the dinosaur was a shadow. More trees? Or make it look like it is actually grown into the ground somehow. It's a puff on a stick now. Sorry.

did anyone else see the trex with a bunny tail? the tree doesnt bother me as much as the tree's shadow touching the dino's shadow.

Love the shading, the perspective, and the concept. I do agree with everyone else though, that lone fluffy tree is distracting.
