Mummies.

No doubt everyone on Threadless is familiar with the process of mummification, at least to the extent that a person being mummified had all their vital organs removed and placed in jars for safekeeping so that, upon admittance to the afterlife, a soul would have a fresh set of organs for use in the remainder of eternity. The brain was pulled out through the nose and the heart and other organs contained in the torso were removed through incisions in the chest.

What most people don't realize it that, once their brain is removed, a person is much more willing to give away their heart.

The way this is illustrated, it looks like both mummies are attempting to catch the vessel instead of one mummy giving it to the other. Also the type of vessel used for organ storage would not have a handle like a Greek amphora.

maybe make the vessel more obviuosly in the hands of the mummies. it looks like it's either floating, or they're playing catch with it. i like the treatment of the clothes and rags though. that vessel and the message seems so important, but the design doesn't reflect that to it's full extent i believe. 3 for a good idea. resub

The idea an explanation is better than the drawing. Maybe a re-do?

I think the vessel should be a modern day hand cooler bedazzeled with stickers of puppies and rainbows, overflowing with ice and various import beverages. Oh and the mummies should have an umbrella and be wearing sandals, ya-know those ones with the thin rubber part that goes between your toes and gets all sandy so you have to keep washing them off at one of those beach shower things.... ahhh yeah you remember.

The green and black is the most striking!

Change the colours, the way the mummies are holding the vase, the looks of the vase and the looks of the heart, and I'd buy it.
