There always seems to be so much I want to do but never enough time. That's why I just can't understand when anybody says "I'm bored." When there's just so much to life, being bored really is unnatural. So next time someone says "I'm bored", you can go put this shirt on . . .

The reason this is being submitted to the loves contest is because I was reading Ted Leo's blog and it's really crazy how much the guys involves himself in. There is so much going on in the world and he's aware of a lot of it (while still putting so much into his music), and anyone can do just as much, so there's no need to be bored!

I really like this. I think I would alleviate my boredom just by trying to read "boredom is unnatural" until I found it. Really good design here.

I disagree. Boredom is natural and we should let ourselves feel it without trying to distract ourselves with whatever - TV, games, magazine. Sit, let yourself be bored and soon it passes as something new occurs to you, something unexpected. If you try to chase away boredom immediately every time you feel it, you're building a world of white noise for yourself. Try silence and boredom for a while; see what it turns into.

Gaff - I agree, but that's no longer boredom . . . boredom is when you don't accept that silence and think 'i'm bored', then go turn on the TV, then pace around the room, then think 'i'm bored again. Boredom occurs when we've been distracted for so long that we don't have enough imagination to see what the silence turns into.

I love the idea, the comments, and the visual impact.

$5 on slate, with the blue-green colour of the tongue made a bit bolder and less sickly-looking (maybe go for a more jewel-like turquoise, making it stand out more?), and possibly the removal of the word 'freak'.

Also, I'd love to see how you manipped the text...
