what's great is that you don't really need to have heard of the movie to get this. "Hey, what's with all those m's? and why's the phone off the hook? was someone dialing? and WHY IS THERE BLOOD ON THOSE SCISSORS? OMG!!! MURRRDERRR!!!

You know, I didn't get it at first, but I suspected the meaning. I've never heard of the movie, *blush*, but I really like several things about this: The shading on the phone is fantastic, I love that style. The bits of the phone cord that show signs of wear and stress are a really nice touch. And like icebar said, the floor is wicked sweet.

The scissors is one of the things that is highlated in almost all movie reviews about "dial M for murder". The story goes like this:

After several unsuccessful attempts to film the scene where Margot stabs Swan with the scissors, Alfred Hitchcock said, "This is nicely done but there wasn't enough gleam to the scissors, and a murder without gleaming scissors is like asparagus without the hollandaise sauce - tasteless."

Seeing your title makes me get part two of "Another Brick in the Wall" stuck in my head. :D I thought it would be a pastiche of that, but never mind... this design is great too!

LOVE it! I really hope one of the Hitchcock shirts gets printed eventually, I love all of them (did anybody see the one a while ago that spelled all of his titles inside of the famous Hitchcock profile? it was amazing!)
