antosh on May 15 '07 Oh, so beautiful!, would be good to see what the story being typed is(I hope it's some sort of fairytale) and would be great to have no speech bubble, just the image. maybe a flying bird or an insect istead of the bubble to ballance out the composition. If it had those changes then without a doubt $5 from me. at this stage, mmmmmm, ok a 5

Speech bubble is interesting, yeah, but your eye goes there at the SAME time as the typewriter, so it detracts in a way. I wish the typewriter letters spelled out "old fashioned" instead....

The speech bubble spoke to me :). I would want this slightly bigger. But if this prints I will buy it! I've always really liked old fashioned type writters.
I think the two styles makes the bubble work for me hear. If it was the same as the typewritter then I'd not go for it some much. |

This is good. I'm not a fan of the bubble or the blocky halftones in the shadow, but I like it. The content of the text is great. On the detailed version, do you intend on getting the background pattern onto the shirt somehow? I know it would be difficult, but it would also help to make the typewriter seem more at home on the shirt... at least make the shadow a bit more organic, at the moment it's bugging me somewhat - it really stands out next to the quality of the rest of the image, and not in a good way. Maybe replace it with cross-hatching to keep up the idea of being old fashioned?

I like the speech bubble, myself, though it would work just as well to have 'old-fashioned' as the name of the typewriter. This one I'd be buying willy and nilly for writer friends. :)
