Don't get me wrong, I love the band name, but if a very slight alteration that preserves the essential spirit of it means this shirt is more likely to get printed then I'm all for it. :)

FANTASTIC JOB! If this is your first design I'd say you should have no problems here. Incredible job with the Jacks. Maybe pinch/taper the tips of the cables or fade them so they don't look so cut but, to be honest, I don't see anything wrong with it.
You might think about changing the title to the "The Jacks" or something. More mainstream sales potential that way. If you had a blog posted I'd give you one of my Chameleon Awards from my site for 'exceptionally inventive artistry'. Love this. |

If you can recognise the shoe brands from this picture, then they don't need the product placement because you already know them very well! And if, like me, you have no idea, then you continue having no idea. It's not invasive at all, which is nice. |

I'll ad to the petition. Please take the band name off. I Love the artwork, it's fantastic! However, putting the band name is like explaining the punchline of what would be a great joke even though everyone gets it.

I think it looks better with the band name, definitely. :) The alternate coloured detail on the drum looks cool, but you lose the focus on the Jacks themselves. In the originally subbed version the way the Jacks are all in colour and the instruments are black-and-white is a very striking effect, but once you get some colour on the drum then it seems odd that the rest of the instruments aren't coloured and it makes the design seem a bit more muddled.
I vote keep the design the same as in the original, adapting the band-name if Threadless outright say "We'll print it but only if you change the name". |
