Great detail, but the clash of styles between mini Spock and the enterprise are too much of a problem for me.
I'm sure it'd sell well at a Trekkie convention, but there's no way anyone under 35, who doesn't live in their parent's basement should wear it as a T. |

I love it! (For the record I am 22) And I don't think there is a clash of styles between the spock and the ship...he is a person, and the legos are made of plastic..of course they will look different.
And btw, I want this shirt. It is well done, recognizable, but with a twist to make it original. Love it. |

I would like it better if it were just a young boy...maybe even one that resembled a future Capt. Kirk. I agree that it's odd being a young Spock or Vulcan or whatever he is. I just don't think Mattel was shipping Lego's all over the universe........And if somebody could tell me where I need to turn in my man card, that would be helpful....*tear*

I do wonder if all that detail would show up printed though. I think it might be tricky. The lines might need to be thickened up and then it might start to look messy. But I'm very impressed by the drawing. |

insolity; just because things are made from different materials, doesn't mean that the style they are drawn in should be different.
How many designs with trees for example (made out of wood) also have people (made out of flesh) in them, drawn in the same style? |

FRICKINAWESOME on Apr 25 '07 Man, FM is intent on making the girl's chest he uses for nearly every one of his subs famous by the end of his millionth brilliant Threadless shirt run! I'm not a Star Trek fan, but would love to see this printed as it is yet again a fantastic idea drawn amazingly well.
JayEsGee, I don't know how many ways i could type to you that i think you are mistaken in your opinion on this shirt. My guess: about 43 different ways. The styles don't contrast to me...the legos are drawn in a realistic way and the lil' Spock has a touch of the ol' anime influence in its design, but nothing that clashes when you stick the two together. Would you be happier if Spock's skin was made up of thousands of different blocks...would that make you happier about the contrasting styles? Is it me or can no one do a teal shirt justice with their designs like my boy Flying Mouse can? 4$ |

DaleEdwin on Apr 25 '07 I think what JayEsGee is talking about is the difference in image density between the character and the lego spaceship. One is EXTREMELY detailed and the other is hardly detailed. Just jars a bit on the eye I think. Really well drawn tho.

What I (and apparently) DaleEdwin find slightly jarring on the eye, FRICKINAWESOME clearly finds monolithic in its beauty. Well, potato, potAto. My opinion (as pointed out by FRICKINAWESOME) is entirely valid, as it is my opinion, and not a consensus vote. I don't particularly like the design and can opine whatever I like. As for 'market research', I have neither proof, nor any need to show it, as again, it my opinion. (Hopefully you'll be getting the gist of my argument by now. Anyhoo, keep up the good work and hopefully I will have managed to avoid having FRICKINAWESOME post his '43 different' explanations, as I'm sure no-one wants to read that. |

i actually would like this better if there was no person, just the lego ship. also, i feel compelled to point out that spock was half human (if that's who this is supposed to be), so it isn't inconceivable that he would have legos.

hmmm... i dunno about this one, it's just ok, i agree with what some people say - the lego and the kid seem like two different styles and clash a little, and i dunno, it's anime (sorry if it isn't i just hate anime well don't hate, it's just over used, and so ya, im ignorant :) ) so ya, maybe change a few things and it could be good :) but ill be nice - 3
