I think this is better than your first. I like the colours- they give it a sort of classic pop art feel.

thanks for the comments guys, i think the losing the shadow is a definite option, and it would work on a darker shirt too!

I would prefer more realistic colours. Red and blue like that is a little much. But I think you are heading in the right direction.
