From afar the bright colors and organic shapes seem to
emit a happy mood, but that gets slapped down when we get close enough to see the tears and down-turned mouth of the koala. I prefer seeing him squinty-eyed happy |

0. Do koalas get ‘drugged out’ on eucalyptus leaves? No. There is a common misconception that koalas get ‘drugged out’ or ‘high’ on eucalyptus leaves and that’s why they sleep a lot. This myth possibly arose as a way of explaining why koalas sleep for up to 22 hours a day. They need more sleep than most animals because eucalyptus leaves contain toxins and are very low in nutrition and high in fibrous matter so they take a large amount of energy to digest. Sleeping for long periods is a strategy for conserving energy. Koalas and gliders are the only mammals which can tolerate the toxins in gumleaves but fortunately they don't make them 'high' or ‘drugged out’. |

LOVE THE DESIGN, BUT THE TRUTH IS KOALAS ARE NOT HIGH IT IS A MYTH THAT THE CHEMICALS IN THE LEAVES MAKE THEM HIGH THE SLEEPY AND DOPEYNESS IS FROM THEIR DIETS LACK OF NUTRITION AND ENERGY. SORRY TO BURST THE BUBBLE. STILL LOVE THE DESIGN I HOPE IT WINS

It's one of my favorite tees... and A LOT .. of friends and strangers have commented it.. and all asked where to get it.. too bad it's not avaible anymore.. mine is very used, could use a new one :) hope there will come a reprint.
