Honestly, I don't share everyone's jaded view on cassettes (yet). But it does come across as a little stark and repetitive. Vary the pattern or put some gaps in it, just mix things up a little.

i'm not sure why everyone is so adamantly against cassette tapes... it is an old school challenge, after all....and cassettes are a pretty recognizable icon of the 80's.
i think the shirt is nice. the pattern is a bit small to be recognized from farther away, though. |

I actually really like this design. There have been a lot of tape submissions, but, usually it is just one cassette tape.
I like how you made each tape individual. There were so many styles and brands. I had so many tapes in the late 80's and early 90's. My husband found them the other day and I couldn't get rid of them. This design is one of my favorites, so I hope that gives you some encouragement. 5$ |

Wow! I think the tapes are a bit too small to fully appreciate the effort you've put in so perhaps one less row and column and you could make the tapes a little bigger?

yeah andy warhol is the first thing i thought of when i saw this too! but i think you need to add some color behind a few (in an andy warhol fashion, of course) because it's too monotonous.

i think it would be cooler if the cassettes were all in a pile and randomly showing cassettes would have writing on them saying what they were and stuff.

Anyone know what tape saturation is? Thought not! Go to ebay, and search completed listings: "death of a dictionary", and you'll se how much I 'effin love tapes! I love 'em all the way to the bank. Great Design! |
