Love the placement, love the red shirt! One small thing: the girl's right leg (our left) is dark (shadow?) but her reflection is the same color as her other leg. It bugs me.

I agree with comment about the leg shadow. Also, why the height difference?

^^^ I like that the leg shadow was pointed out. I'll be sure to make those changes in the final draft if it goes to print.

The height difference shows a role reversal, depicting the two characters in terms of the importance of their roles.
The "little sister" has a much more important role in the world of Bioshock than the "big daddy" whose only purpose is to protect the little sister, as opposed to the little sister's role in acquiring the substance than enables every other denizen of the city of Rapture to exist as they do. (Including the Big Daddy.)

The footprints leading away signify the somewhat cliched "loss of innocence" that I felt was suited for this design. There is nothing cute or innocent at all about the Little Sisters.
Similarly, the unraveling DNA in the background further reinforces the idea of the loss of humanity and innocence, as the most central theme of Bioshock is the loss of humanity.

Burgundy. Definitely. Failing that, though, denim works, too.

I love this design but I also love the fact that you've thought really hard about what you're trying to achieve - a lot of work obviously went into this. Brilliant!

I've loved a few other designs in this competition, but this one might take the cake. Excellent.

Maybe a thin black stroke on the bands would help it fit better.
