About my design
by Lhiiiz
I was a kid in the 80's and to me it was all about riding around on my big wheel and watching Punky Brewster.

This is awesome, but I'd probably like it better without the kid.

Thanks for commenting! The more the better. They should make giant sized big wheels for adults.

dude i LOVE this! i want it! if this doesnt win, you should reprint it but the kid's shirt should say "werd" instead of "word." idk why. [and lmao, youre right about how they should make adult big wheels. they could be called "bigger wheels" :D ]

DID YOU MAKE THIS WHILE ON THE CLOCK? I AM TELLING THE BOSS ON YOU! AND HE WILL NOT CARE! SO NEVERMIND!

Good work! I wish the kids hair was less like a spaghetti helmet. A good way to fix it is to have it a solid yellow fill. Then it'd be mirroring the solid yellow fill of the Big Wheel frame. Also, the text looks like a caterpillar about to be squashed.

The wheel of the Big Wheel is my favorite part.

it doesn't need the text under the shoe, the idea comes across without it. that said, i like this a lot.

Cool artwork, although there is nowhere to rest your eyes on the shirt. It may benefit from some white, but I don't know where it would be put.
The text is good, I like text on a shirt, i like text period.
Placement wise, it does look like it's getting stepped on though.
Mezo's idead about the fill on the hair could be the answer to my first sentence.

I remember seeing somewhere that an adult-sized Green Machine or Big Wheel was made, but it's been a couple of years...can't recall which one or where to find it. Googled it, but the link I found hit on a kid-sized version. I loved my Big Wheel, rode it up and down my street all the time. But that was in the 70's, not the 80's...and I DO remember the bandanas tied around the legs in the 80's. Good one!

Love it! The second I saw it I had a Punky Brewster squee moment.

I agree with comments above: the hair should be less scratchy, maybe filled in to match the bike. And the bike placement could be shifted a little.

Keep up the great work.

Ha! Yeah, I think John (aka the "boss") was actually in here while I was working on this. I did a version with a yellow fill and couldn't get it looking right, but I should have played around more because I agree about the spaghetti hair.
I wanted to keep the text but make it less intrusive so I that's why I chose that placement. Oh, I do have to say, the big wheel was for sure the 80's, it may have been the 70's too, but as an 80's baby, I know every kid on the block in my region had one! Thanks for all the great comments everyone!
