maybe you should change the folded cardboard to a cardboard box coming apart.

I don't think that the cardboard looks especially like cardboard, but for the people who didn't live through the 80's (and that seems like most people n this thread) you used to breakdance on cardboard. The silohuette is doing a headspin.

I don't get why the cardboard is folded like that.

without that title, no one is going to get it mate. and even if it were in some form recognisable, the foreground and background just don't meld together that well.

This is like the corrugation inside cardboard or something. Also, is it bloody, did he bust a move or his head? I would rework this a little bit.

the idea is good, but the illustration seems a little too computer-generated. For instance, the rounded sidewalk has an odd feel to it, does not come across as a sidewalk. Keep working at it.

I wouldn't have got this without reading everyone's comments first. Trouble is, you can't always rely on a computer package to render an image if you don't know what the objects really look like. i.e sometimes there's no substitute for good old fashioned drawing/creative skills. Perhaps try looking at some cardboard and a sidewalk. Take a snapshot with your phone camera...study it for 5 mins and you'll see the characteristics that make up the objects. Then you can try to translate those into a computer generated image and they may be more recognisable, even if you want the final image to be slighly abstract. (sorry if this sounds too old school!)
