grammar?

I agree with the above, I dont' really get the (what I'm assuming is intentional) incorrect grammar. It's a great simple design though! It could stand alone without the text :)

Loose the text.... the character on his own is cute and funny enough.

Even though I'm a fan of text, this doesn't make much sense.

At first I thought "Stucked at 80's" was intentionally bad, but they I read everything else you've typed.

It should read "Stuck in the 80s". You don't use an apostrophe, because you're not showing that the 80 owns something.
DrVSP
DrVSP on Mar 28 '07
Superdope, you do use an apostrophe in 80's because it's a number. There is no apostrophe in eighties (as a plural) because that's a word. Acronyms (when in all capitals) also take the apostrophe to be plural, e.g. My friends and I showed our ID's to the doorman.

The neighborhood grammar watch appreciates your attention.

More importantly, the sub is really funny. I love the huge mullet! The TV is perfect: it's little and has bunny ear antennae, just like the TV's we had in the 80's. I agree we don't need the text, but I think with a change in "stucked" to stuck, the text is OK. I like the font.

One question, why the bubbles?

are you not from America?.... cause your grammar is way off... unles you're just using like AIM lingo or something... not to insult you.

DrVSP, thanks for the unnecessary insult. Especially considering you're also wrong.

If you're talking about the ten numbers 80 through 89, those are the 80s. However -- since we're talking about the year here -- there is an apostrophe, but it goes before the number, since the 19 is omitted. Hence, '80s.

grypesagon on Mar 28 '07
Super pope is right. the only time the apostrophy goes between 80 & s is when you'r using 80s as an adjective. like 80's Rock. or 80's fashion.

I like DrVSP. I, too, am a grammer nazi.

However, bad grammar aside, this just plain sucks. 0/5 just to add insult to injury.

haha, so it should be 'stuck in 80s'... ?

And stuck at '80s means stucked at age 80 and keep playing the game? Or is he scoring only 80 and not 100 marks? :D

I like the idea behind thou. keep it up.
