Originally made for the SEED LOVES competition. Twas hard to get comments from the Critiques section, so I decided to try its fate in the actual voting.

[I hope you also see a zipper, a butterfly, a pair of coldfronts, some isobars, and the weather you're looking for!] Hope you like it! :)

AWESOME! i especially like that you chose this insect because of the cause and effect phrase "if a butterfly flaps its wings in kansas...." and ends in some kind of weather phenomena.

Nice work, backtozero. You are a talented individual.

Chelly, check out the short story A Sound of Thunder by Ray Bradbury. It deals with the idea you brought up, slightly different, but extremely close. I think you'll enjoy it.

Anyway, it's 3:00 AM, like that Matchbox Twenty song -- goodnight everybody.

Thanks for the good first comments everyone! :)

Chelly, you nailed it! "..a tornado forms somewhere" that's a saying I've always treasured.^^

Tuppe!!!!! Y'know what? I already submitted the thing after you left your comment in the critiques section. I lost interest in checking this critique's blog because no one was really commenting on how it can be improved before submitting... Had I seen your critique before submitting this, I'd really listen to your opinion. I really appreciate that you took the time to constructively comment on people's works. :)

I think this looks really good. Color pref: #1 black, #2 navy. I like the design in the middle, where you can see the whole thing.

I think it's a creative idea and chelly's "Butterfly Effect" comment helped me to see there's more there than
I first thought, but the "body" of the butterfly looks like a
needle or an awl instead of a part of a weather pattern.
Maybe you could put in some thin arrows to resemble
antenna and just leave out the "body".

I don't like the raindrops, I think it would work better if it was all joined together instead of having it come from two different clouds. The clouds could be bigger to balance out the isobars as wings, then the rain would look more like a trail... or something.
I like it though :]

great idea mate! in my opinion it would look a lot better if you emulated the look of a real climate chart, with an made up land and sea (mb a blue t-shirt) and the line in white... dunno I'm amking it up :P
