tiphaine on Mar 22 '07 oh crap! this is fantastic! minor quibble, but the way the blue sky extends to the left seems to be flattening out the perspective a little too much. i'd love to see it brought in a skosh. still, $5. i LOVE the fact that you have made a color palette that is 80s but still wearable.

I agree with pickledbib regard this being one of the better Submissions!
One gripe. I never had a Boom Box that ran on anything less than 8 batteries - the street shoulda been littered with them. |

I think the size is a little overpowering, and I love huge prints, but here there are so many details that it's hard to absorb them all and the shape is very blocky. I'd prefer to see the boombox apartment, in the middle of the shirt, surrounded by the dancers. Ditch the car & make the horizon center with the boombox. It's still very nicely done. 4 the way it is 5&$ with the changes. |

this is probably the coolest shirt i've ever seen. the colors are awesome and the boom box house is definately brilliant. i'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I'm giving this a reluctant high score because I love the design, but that orange color makes me want to vomit. Honestly, I can't believe Threadless even offers that shirt color as a choice.

The colors give it an old west sorta feel to it, but the stereo apartment and the breakdancing give a modern (in comparison) twist. I like the contrast between those two. It's kinda like a new old west, where a showdown is a breakdancing competition.

This is def one of the best subs I've seen in the comp so far. I don't feel worthy of making any critism on it but if I HAD to it would just be a suggestion - perhaps lose the batteries (not sure the illo needs them) and create more of a crowd for the breakdancer/more people hanging around. Oh, & yep-the girls leg does need sorting. But it's a great idea really well worked up = really nice design.

...Raid71, have just had a look at some of your other stuff. Interesting work. Lovin' the fact that your style as well as your ideas are strong, you rock f'sure. Confirms in my mind that this sub isn't just good by chance but you do actually have some clue about what you're doing!

Damn didn't get to score it! I loved it when I first saw it through critique and I love it more and more everytime I see it (I don't know about those batteries though...)
