This design was the result of some "stream of consciousness" sketching. I know people like a gag or some kind of story most of the time here, but this has none. I was just sketching and this came out of my pencil. :) |

Wow, I LOVE the style! I'd like to know what kind of method you use :)
I don't think the light bulb needs to be removed. It changes it from just being a shirt with an octopus on it (you could get that at any old zoo) to being a unique design. |

don't apologize, there may be a lot of octopi subs lately, but very few are as good as this. your color use is excellent. go with placement b or something close to it. and while i know it's totally irrelevant, i really like your presentation layout.

I LOVE IT! many of the other octopi ones i find lame...but this is like...WOA!
i'd buy two...seriously. only thing i dislike is the lightbulb. The lightbulb being there is cool. i like the concept. i like the beauty of the design. however something about the filiment seems childishly drawn and takes away, in adition to the scibbles 'round ze lightbulb. amazing design, I HOPE YOU WIN! |

The illustration itself is incredible. The lightbulb *does* come off as a bit of an excuse for the really cool shading, but then...the shading is *really* cool, so...
Not wild about off-center placements. I would probably wear this if the lightbulb was gone (maybe replaced with something else tying the concept together somehow) and if the placement was dead-chest-center. Still amazed at that linework, though. Nice work. 4. |

Placement B. I like the lightbulb, especially its swirly aura. It's unexpected, maybe a little "exquisite corpse."
Also, humbleego, "the lightbulb means nothing"? "there's nothing to get"? Both you and your design are all the more interesting for the psychoanalysis you inspire. |
