My first attempt at a shirt design. This was done completely in Photoshop. Its my take on role of science in quantifying all of the space around us: the chemist quantifying the chemical soup that we are swimming in and that sloshes around inside of each of us, the astronomer that tries to place us in our natural order, like a cosmic jig-saw, or the physicist that seeks to write out all of the laws and theories that govern our existance. But as much as we try to contain it, it will still exist before and after us and all of our science.

It doesn’t flow together. The Earth, test-tube, and chemical soup seem to separate. Also the chemical-soup reminds me of oil, maybe try a different color.

The chem soup is meant to be stars, reminiscent of space. Thus the use of black...with white stars...

I like the image, but it should be MUCH smaller.

Awesome concept, but could use a couple of touch-ups... 4

Different shirt color, and a little smaller design. Otherwise, this is a really creative and well-executed idea. 5

it looks a little too much like a crack pipe, sorry :/ love the concept though!

i really like the idea, but is it upside-down? why are the drips going upwards? turn it over and i'd love it: maybe the cracked test tube spilling out the stars AND the earth?

Earth is "upside down" only because the eurocentric powers decided to be on top. From space either direction is equal valid. Also, the drips going up was just a stylistic addition towards the end to make the puddle of space a little more integrated with the earth. Another variation that I considered was the idea of having the test tube pour spaec onto the globe, but I ran out of time for the project. I only saw the Seed Loves on the last day of the contest, so both of my designs were made on a short time budget (a few hours for both).

winkinthecity: I could also see a "cuter" version with little scientists trying to catch the drips falling from the puddle...I may try that and submit a normal design. Anyone have any advice on making the drips look more realistic.

Shrink it a bit, otherwise good. Like many (some at least..) said before me; I like the stars effect.

very very very cool idea! the drips going up confused me a bit, but it's still a cool shirt.

The style needs some refining, but the concept is really neat.

i really like this shirt. and i think that Space dripping upward is fun b/c it's like zero gravity.
