This is a little collaboration of a few things from the 80s - 3D glasses, top gun and keytars! As you can see, this is modelled on Tom Cruise as Maverick who I know you all love.
5 colours on black and the white could also be silver (metallic). Some feedback on the two different colour themes wouldn't go a miss either.

i'm happy that your eyes hurt (not in a spiteful way). it's supposed to pop!

Pop is one thing....rip out the retinas by way of boiling acid and ice picks is another. This is visual murder. Try some color studies...and GEEZ, man, the keys are even the wrong colors. 1

i know that the keys are the wrong colour .... and the colours are supposed to be clashy and too bright, because that's what says 80s to me. I respect your opinion, mezo, but not every thing has to be an observational drawing.

Come on, the eighties? Were you guys there?

I was, if only for a time, and this resembles the eyesore it was.

I was high school and college age in the 80s, so yeah I was there and probably a little more aware than a baby would have been. This does not say 80s to me. It's just bad design.

What does a 15 year old know about the 80s?

Well hey, I was born in 1974, and I remember the 80s fine, and a lot of stuff was as clashy as this design is... but so what? There's still a difference between just picking garish colors and intentionally choosing a palette to create an unsettling effect.

It's good that you're willing to take a risk and do something different because that's usually the only way to do something unexpected and brilliant, but I think the general consensus here is going to be that the colors are really hard to look at, because they are!

You kind of shot yourself in the foot by saying they were supposed to "pop," because that's a term designers throw around all the time regarding color, but I've never heard it used to mean the designer is glad the viewer's eyes hurt.

Love the 3D glasses and the keytar :)
Personally I'd prefer the blue keytar one.

yes, i am 15. Does that mean i can't have an opinion about the 80's? I accept that the colours are garish and that may not to be to some people's taste, but please don't say "it's just a bad design" without expaining yourself. And please don't patronise me. Everything i did here was deliberate - the colours, the sketchiness etc.
Thankyou everyone for the feedback, anyway.
